OAFE-1550 Overview

The OAFE-1550 is a packaged and specifiable outside airflow measuring station capable of producing an AMCA tested and certified overall ±0.5% accuracy.  The OAFE-1550 is designed to tackle the challenges of outside airflow measurement which is often low velocity,  loaded with particulate, and application specific.  The packaged system consists of an integral signal processor and multiple airflow elements, factory mounted and pre-piped in a casing designed for flanged connection to ductwork, control dampers, louvers, etc.  The OAFE-1550 will satisfy LEED, ASHRAE 62.1, and California Title 24 requirements.  Utilizing Paragon Controls’ full sheet metal capabilities, the OAFE-1550 can match up with almost any new or existing ductwork, hood, or outside air opening for a seamless engineered solution.  Application specific materials such as 316 Stainless Steel are available where salt-air may be a concern. The signal processor is microprocessor based with a host of field configuration options including filtering, flow correction, density correction, and calibration.  Device monitoring and configuration can also be performed by a building management system through either a LonWorks®, BACnet-MS/TP® Master or Modbus® RTU Slave communication network. An optional controller is available that utilizes a proprietary algorithm which results in true three mode control incorporating proportional band, integral (reset) and inverse derivative (P, I, 1/D) functionality and tuning. The controller will provide responsive modulation of a control damper or variable speed drive guaranteeing that a constant airflow is maintained. An economizer override option is available that allows the building management system to override the minimum outdoor airflow rate.
