Dallas County Records Complex
Dallas, Texas
This project was a renovation for all three historic buildings in the complex: the Old Criminal Courts Building, the Records Building, and the Records Building Annex. The preservation of the building façades was important due to the historic landmark’s distinctive architecture. The buildings used to provide space for jail cells, but would be restored to primarily hold offices, courtrooms, and record storage. All needed to be modernized for efficiency for the future while still preserving the past and present history.
Dallas County’s main project mission and goals were centered around providing a safe and secure facility, attracting new talent, improving employee productivity, and promoting collaboration and innovation. One facet of accomplishing this goal was through airflow measurement and control. Paragon products were added to the buildings to assist in the creation of a safe space for the public, while also enhancing the productivity of employees and creating a collaborative environment.
